Dear WAY Academy Family,

We know that many of you are anxious to know what the upcoming school year will bring. Due to daily changes around the status and safety protocols of COVID-19, details are still being finalized, but we want to give you some critical information on what you can expect. One of the most important things you need to know is that we will start our school year off 100% virtually. This decision was not made lightly. The safety of our teachers, students and their families is our #1 priority.

We will transition back into the building and resume regular in school activities as more information from the CDC, local health departments, and the governor become available on the safety of face to face instruction. Once we decide to reopen the school to face-to face instruction you will be contacted and provided the opportunity to continue 100% virtually or return to a blended model. If you choose to return your student to the school building, you will be asked to choose the number of days your child will attend from the available days and times.

Our staff is taking this time to prepare our building for optimal safety protocols for battling the spread of COVID-19. We are taking great care to assure we have adequate PPE and safety protocols in place.  When students return to the building they will be trained in the appropriate protocols. We will also provide our families with information to prepare their children for a safe return to the building.  Your support will be vital in assuring students are ready to follow all required safety measures.

During the course of 100% virtual learning, the staff at Way Academy will continue to provide all of the same services and supports you are accustomed to.

The school staff has returned from vacation as of Monday July 27th and are available to answer any questions you may have.

Estimada familia de WAY Academy,

Sabemos que muchos de ustedes están ansiosos por saber qué traerá el próximo año escolar. Debido a los cambios diarios en el estatus al estado y los protocolos de seguridad de COVID-19, los detalles aún se están finalizando, pero queremos brindarle información crítica sobre lo que puede esperar. Una de las cosas más importantes que necesita saber es que comenzaremos nuestro año escolar con un 100% de descuento virtualmente. Esta decisión no se tomó a la ligera. La seguridad de nuestros maestros, estudiantes y sus familias es nuestra prioridad # 1.

Regresaremos al edificio y reanudaremos las actividades regulares de la escuela a medida que haya más información disponible de los CDC, los departamentos de salud locales y el gobernador sobre la seguridad de la instrucción cara a cara. Una vez que decidamos volver a abrir la escuela a la instrucción presencial, se lo contactará y se le brindará la oportunidad de continuar 100% virtualmente o volver a un modelo combinado. Si elige devolver a su estudiante al edificio de la escuela, se le pedirá que elija la cantidad de días a los que asistirá su hijo entre los días y horarios disponibles.

Nuestro personal se está tomando este tiempo para preparar nuestro edificio para protocolos de seguridad óptimos para combatir la propagación de COVID-19. Estamos teniendo mucho cuidado para asegurarnos de tener el EPP adecuado y los protocolos de seguridad establecidos. Cuando los estudiantes regresen al edificio, serán entrenados en los protocolos apropiados. También proporcionaremos a nuestras familias información para preparar a sus hijos para un regreso seguro al edificio. Su apoyo será vital para asegurar que los estudiantes estén listos para seguir todas las medidas de seguridad requeridas.

Durante el curso de aprendizaje 100% virtual, el personal de Way Academy continuará brindando los mismos servicios y apoyos a los que está acostumbrado.

El personal de la escuela ha regresado de sus vacaciones a partir del lunes 27 de julio y está disponible para responder cualquier pregunta que pueda tener.
