Going Virtual while the Building is Closed: A note from Mrs. Jocelyn

Good Morning WAY Southwest Students and Families!

While our school building may be closed for a while, we are 100% able to keep our School up and running, virtually. You have a great advantage, so definitely put it to use.

Here are the things students should do, to make sure they are earning credit and keeping up with attendance:

  1. Sign in to HERO, every day!
  2. Check their HERO Messages, for a message from their Mentor, and REPLY to their Mentor.
  3. Continue working on HERO Projects and Join in on LIVE Zoom Sessions.
  4. Submit their Modules when they finish.
  5. ASK for help! The WAY SW Staff members will be online from 8-4, every day. We are here for you!! They can also ask ANY Lab/Online Expert that they see online.

Mr. Glenn will be hosting Math sessions on Zoom, Mrs. Jocelyn will be hosting sessions on Zoom for English and other subjects. Watch HERO emails and announcements for session times and Zoom Meeting codes.

Please let us know how you are doing and what you are doing. If we do not hear from you or you are not logging in, we will be making phone calls to reach you and your parents.

Online Attendance will be counted and tracked, daily!

Our Office Phone is working and you can leave a message. We will be returning all phone messages. 313-444-8082

Please message me in HERO or email me if you need anything or have any questions. Let's keep working and making every day count!

Mrs. Jocelyn
