SUBJECT: COVID-19 Update
As you may be aware there has been public concern over the Coronavirus (COVID-19). COVID-19 is a respiratory virus first identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019. At this time there have not been any reported cases in Michigan and the health risk to the general public from COVID-19 remains low.
Below are the Center for Diseases Control (CDC) recommendations for decreasing the spread of infectious diseases like the flu.
- Remain at home if you are sick and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are unavailable.
- Cover cough and sneeze with a tissue or sleeve. Throw the tissue in the trash.
